"I am driven to create, inclined to edit, and never complacent."
- Liz Chase
I am a lifelong adventure seeker. I always look for the fun and challenge in every situation with creative problem-solving being a passion, well, almost an obsession!
While studying Architecture at the Savannah College of Art and Design, I was asked to develop an artist statement. I posited this, "I am driven to create, inclined to edit and rarely satisfied." Sounds a bit harsh and I do push myself to see things from various perspectives, but at the same time, I don't take myself too seriously. On the advice of trusted colleagues, I amended the rarely satisfied to never complacent. I think both aptly describe my work ethic.
Simply stated, my goal is to be a creative force, contributing to a vital endeavor, bringing assistance to community goals and objectives--oh, and of course, World Peace!
Things about me:
I was the only girl in high school wood shop class. I studied the Sogetsu style of Ikebana, for six years while living in Okinawa, Japan. I am a South Carolina Master Gardener, and now a collector of succulents in Davis, California. Passions include, photography, travel, baking and quilting.
